Ayushman Bharat Yojana

It is the health infrastructure initiative launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on 23 September 2018. Ayushman Bharat Yojana was launched under National Health Protection Scheme, which is now Ayushman Bharat National Health Protection Scheme (AB-NHPS).

This scheme aims to provide health insurance to people below the poverty line in India. The insured person’s family can get policy coverage of up to 5 lakhs every year. Under the procedure, the beneficiary receives primary to tertiary health coverage.

National Pension Scheme

The National Pension Scheme (NPS) is a government-introduced pension scheme. Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) handles the NPS.

It was previously launched for government employees in 2004. But, later in 2009, it was made available to every Indian citizen.

NPS is a voluntary defined contribution old age pension scheme that helps make funds and assured pension in your retirement days. Under the scheme, you invest in your future from your personal earnings. If you are a salaried person, your employer can also contribute to it.

Atal Pension Yojana

The Government of India announced Atal Pension Yojana (APY) in the budget session of 2015-2016 with the objective to help the poor and needy people in India. The scheme is especially for those poor people who are working in unorganized sectors. The APY scheme encourages poor individuals to invest and save for their retirement.

Like NPS, the APY scheme is also a voluntary scheme launched by Central Government. The aim of launching this scheme is to provide security to the Indian citizen from various health issues like accidents and other diseases.

Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana

The central Government of India launched Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) to benefit the poor and needy individuals. The PMJDY scheme foundation was laid by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi on 28th August 2014.

PMJDY is one such scheme in the list of Government schemes list that motive is to provide access to financial services to poor people who cannot have access to financial services like a bank accounts, loans, etc…

As per the data from PMJDY 45.28 crores beneficiaries has got access to Zero balance bank accounts.

National Savings Scheme

National Savings Certificate (NSC) scheme was launched for individuals in India. The aim of this initiative is to encourage Indian people to make savings by offering tax-free savings at Post office branches in India.

Public Provident Fund Scheme

Public Provident Fund Scheme (PPF) is one of the most popular initiatives on the government schemes list in India. National Savings Institute of the Ministry of Finance launched PPF in 1968 with the aim to help those individuals who want to earn interest on their savings.

It is a long-term saving scheme that guarantees safety, and security is tax-free under section 80C and gives a high return on the investment.

Vridha Pension Yojana

Vridha Pension Yojana is an assured pension welfare scheme initiated by the government of India. Under the scheme, the state government provides financial assistance to those (senior citizens) aged 60 years and above.

The applicant gets a monthly INR 500 on a quarterly basis. That means the applicants get INR 1500 every 3 months.

Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY)

PMSBY is similar to the general insurance plans for the roof over your head. It is one of the Govt schemes lists that covers your health. It is an accident cover insurance scheme. It covers death and disability due to an accident.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji launched this scheme for the social welfare of Indian citizens. Under the scheme, the insured gets risk coverage of RS. 2 lakhs. It covers death and disability due to an accident.
